After the multi-layered success of Retreat at Edgewood, SDA was retained to design and construct the Edgewood Community Center. The Center is connected to the Edgewood Community Garden and was funded in partnership with The Wylde Center, Mayson Ave Cooperative, and The Zeist Foundation.
Using the residential Craftsman style to blend into the surrounding neighborhood, the Center features office space, a common area, and a demonstration kitchen. The kitchen introduces grade-school children to preparing and eating fresh produce from the garden, while a generous porch offers access to the adjacent garden.
