SDA offers comprehensive Architectural services from Concept through no-nonsense Construction Administration.  Our studio employs BIM/3D Modeling on all designs, as do our Consultants. Ever-complex technology notwithstanding, good design is still based in listening, observation and intuition. We know there is a human element to design that depends on experience.

SDA’s long-term links with City government and the Atlanta BeltLine, affordable housing agencies and neighborhood groups effectively realize even intricate programs. Although chiefly an Atlanta firm, our portfolio extends throughout the Southeast and in Oklahoma.

The Firm’s central tenet of common-sense sustainability is fostered via comprehensive LEED and other sustainability services. SDA has designed and built four LEED Platinum buildings, and practical sustainability underlies every design.

SDA’s focus also includes the affordable housing and nonprofit market, restoring a human face to these projects. The LEED Gold Retreat at Edgewood was recognized by the then-U.S. HUD Secretary and four design awards. By de-institutionalizing traditional expectations of affordability, Smith Dalia has improved the quality of life for many disadvantaged persons.

Our projects have received 36 design awards in the past 5 years alone, including two ULI (Atlanta and Oklahoma City) “Development of Excellence” awards.
