Project Architect

Originally from the Gulf Coast of Florida, Trace grew up on his family’s fish camp, where he developed an appreciation for community, sense of place, and the strange characters who make it. He holds a Master’s in Architecture from the University of South Florida and has practiced in Florida and Georgia. His experience spans a range of scales, from residential design-build to multifamily urban infill. 

Alongside practice, Trace taught at the University of South Florida and served as an Assistant Professor of Architecture at Kennesaw State University. His teaching and research investigate the relationship between analog and digital ways of making, evolving notions of craft, and technology’s impact on pedagogy.

Trace has won the AIA Tampa Bay Christopher Kelly Emerging Professional Award, USF SACD Teaching & Service Award, KSU CACM Emerging Faculty Award, and his work has been selected as a finalist for the Ken Roberts Memorial Delineation Competition.
